The service
AI PDF Genie ("the app"), developed by ShowHen 秀賢悠活企業有限公司 (AutoIT), provides local, key-free PDF tools — reading, page management, encryption, decryption, compression, watermarking, annotation, and handwritten signatures. Once you supply your own AI service key, the app additionally offers AI features: full-document summaries, Q&A, and conversion to Word or Slides.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) — you are responsible for your own account and costs
The app's AI features work on a "bring your own key" basis: you use your own Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic Claude account and API key to call that provider's official endpoint directly. This is not a subscription service we run —
- Obtaining, safeguarding, using, and paying for your key is governed entirely by your own agreement and billing relationship with that AI provider; we are not a party to it, do not collect payment on its behalf, and issue no refunds;
- You alone bear the consequences of a leaked key, unexpected charges, or your provider account being suspended — these are not our responsibility;
- We do not provide, sell, or manage any AI provider's keys or usage quota on your behalf.
AI output is not guaranteed to be accurate
Summaries, Q&A answers, structured extraction, and document conversions (Word/Slides) produced by AI may contain errors, omissions, or misreadings of the source text. We make no guarantee as to their accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose. Before relying on AI output for formal, legal, medical, financial, or otherwise consequential purposes, please verify it against the original PDF yourself.
Effect of electronic signatures
The app's handwritten / image-signature feature records evidence of the signing process (signature strokes, an optional video recording, and signing metadata), but does not guarantee that this evidence carries the legal effect of an "electronic signature" or "digital signature" in any given jurisdiction or situation. That effect depends on the laws and facts applicable where you are; please evaluate on your own whether it is suitable for your intended use.
Password removal is limited to files whose password you already know
The app's "remove password" feature requires you to first enter the correct opening password before it will run. It is intended only for files whose password you already know and wish to remove, and must not be used to gain unauthorized access to anyone else's files.
Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from interruption or error. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the app, including data loss, incorrect AI output, or interruptions or billing disputes with a third-party AI service.
Intellectual property
The app's code, interface design, icons, and marketing copy are the intellectual property of ShowHen 秀賢悠活企業有限公司 (AutoIT). Any document content you upload, edit, sign, or produce using the app remains your property, or that of its rightful owner — we claim no rights to it.
Prohibited use
You may not use the app to: process a document or personal data you have no right to process; circumvent access restrictions lawfully set by someone else; or engage in any use that violates the laws applicable to you.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update the "last updated" date on this page; material changes will also be announced inside the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
